The Health, Safety & Environment Observatory (HSEO) is an independent consultancy dedicated to achieving significant and continual reductions in the incidence of work-related death, injury, illness and damage to the environment. We work in close partnership with government and non-government organisations, as well as employers and employees to drive national policy development on all health, safety and environment matters. We are innovative and passionate about what we do, and believe that everyone has a fundamental right to a healthy and safe working environment.

STRATEGY

In the absence of a national Health, Safety and Environmental strategy, the HSEO has taken the initiative to create a robust and actionable framework. After an initial consultation and gap analysis, we are now working in close partnership with relative parties to advise, support and promote safer working environments in Lebanon. Learning from our research and international best practices, we are committed to achieving and exceeding international standards in health and safety for Lebanon.

DEVELOPMENT

The HSEO Project Development hub is the research, training and accreditation centre of the HSEO. Through our innovative programs, services, and knowledge base—the HSEO aims to support, educate and raise awareness about health and safety best practices so we can further prevent accidents, injuries and ill health in the workplace, as well as damage to the environment.

OIL&GAS

The HSEO Oil & Gas division is a specialised unit dedicated to the prevention of accidents on all onshore and offshore oil & gas facilities. The high-risk and often remote nature of these environments requires the most stringent oversight and training to ensure that all employees are protected from work-related injury and ill-health. We also offer both technical consultation and recruitment services for this sector.
